Is a .380 pocket pistol enough for self-defense?

I want something I can actually pocket carry. Is a .380 enough, or should I squeeze in a micro 9mm?

A .380 is a legitimate deep-concealment option — the gun you actually carry beats the bigger one you leave home. With modern defensive .380 loads it will do the job. That said, today micro-9mms (P365, 43X) are barely bigger, hold more, and hit harder, and ironically the tiny light .380s can feel snappier. If you can conceal and shoot a micro-9mm, prefer it; reserve the .380 for true pocket/backup roles.
